Today, Saturday, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Al-Saleh and Idlib Governor Mohammad Abdul Rahman met with several camp directors in the northern Syrian region to discuss ways to activate the role of the local community in ensuring the dignified return of displaced people as quickly as possible and the obstacles preventing this. The meeting took place at the ‘Al-Ikhwa’ camp in Kafr Yahmul in northern Idlib countryside.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Qubwat, Director of Social Affairs and Labor in the governorate Ahlam Al-Rashid, along with representatives from relevant authorities, camp residents, and local community figures.
Minister Al-Saleh told SANA that the meeting aimed to discuss and explore the needs and obstacles to returning the largest number of camp residents to their original areas in a short period. He stressed the importance of serious and effective discussions with returning camp residents and with residents of the destroyed areas to fully resolve the camp-related issues.
