Expansion of Industrial Cities: Accommodating Investments and Expanding Employment Opportunities
Work is underway to implement plans to expand several industrial cities across the governorates.

The Director of Industrial Cities at the Ministry of Economy and Industry, Ahmad Kurdi, confirmed that plans are underway to expand several industrial cities across the governorates and develop their infrastructure to meet growing investment demand, attract local and foreign production projects, and create new employment opportunities.

Adra: Growing Demand

In a statement to SANA on Friday, Kurdi explained that the plans include expanding the Adra Industrial City in the Damascus countryside in response to growing investment demand, while providing a suitable environment for investors, supporting industrial growth, and creating new jobs.

Hassia: An Additional 10,000 Hectares

Kurdi noted that the ministry is working to expand the area of Hassia Industrial City in Homs by approximately 10,000 additional hectares. The expansion aims to accommodate new projects, meet investors’ needs, expand industrial activity, and strengthen infrastructure and services for production facilities.

Sheikh Najjar: New Industrial Plots

Kurdi also pointed out that Sheikh Najjar Industrial City in Aleppo is witnessing growing interest from local and foreign investors and companies, with increasing demand for establishing diverse production projects and benefiting from the city’s strategic location, services, and infrastructure.
