He was arrested on February 19, 2011, in the Bab Tuma neighborhood of Damascus after leaving his hometown of Aleppo following an attempt by security forces to arrest him, This was in connection with an interview he gave to Al-Orient TV to discuss calls for the \u201cDay of Rage\u201d demonstrations on February 5, 2011. He remained in detention when the Syrian revolution began, until he was released on March 24, 2011.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00abAfter his release from detention, he was targeted again for his role in organizing demonstrations and his contacts with Arab and international media. He was then arrested once more following a security ambush on August 18, 2011, and remained in detention for three months. After his release, he continued his media and revolutionary activities, traveling back and forth between Aleppo and Turkey.\u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He served as managing editor of the \u201cOrient\u201d TV channel\u2019s website from mid-2015 until the end of 2016, then worked at \u201cSyria\u201d TV since its founding in late 2017, where he served as managing editor of the channel\u2019s website until 2021.
