Yesterday, Sunday, the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic resumed operations in the sister nation of Libya after a hiatus of nearly fourteen years.
The minister noted that this step would strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and help provide services befitting the members of the Syrian community residing in Libya.
In a post on the “X” platform, Al-Shibani said that the Syrian side had signed an agreement to reactivate the Syria-Libya Joint High Committee, in line with political developments in both countries.
The minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Taher Al-Ba’our, Minister of Oil and Gas Khalifa Abdul-Sadiq, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Investment Authority Ali Mahmoud Hassan, for their warm welcome and keen interest in strengthening the fraternal and historic relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
